I'm finding that the boot up time on my mac has become excruciatingly painful  ever since I installed this CC  app on my iMac task bar

Equipment

OSX 10.10.5

iMac 2008 2.4 gHz Intel Duo Core 2

4 GB 800 MHz DDRs SDRAM

ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT 128 MB

It boots up but it takes about 2 minutes for CC to settle-down and configure itself.

Any suggestions - apart from upgrading my hardware

Looking at the specs you have posted I imagine a hardware upgrade is indeed needed!

4GB of ram is certainly way short of many of todays software requirements, and not just for Adobe products.

I don't think, apart from maybe reinstalling from scratch to 'clean' the system, that anything else will be useful. Sorry, but that's my opinion.
