Hello! Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I recently subscribed to the Photography trial plan. I think it was for a week. I had to cancel the subscription because I have an outdated operating system and I could not download Photoshop for Yosemite. I tried to cancel, but I ended up deleting my account instead. Does the free trial cancel automatically? Please help. Thank you.

No. The free trial does not cancel automatically if you gave a credit/bank card number.
After 7 days, the trial reverts to a paid plan until you cancel it.
To avoid penalty fees, cancel before the 14th day of service.
