Tips for switching from Mac to PC

I currently have Adobe CC with Lightroom and Photoshop installed on a Mac.  We are replacing the Mac with a PC and I am looking for some info and tips on how to do this.  We have a pretty large collection of photos that I don't want to lose.  How can I ensure they are all backed up and what can I do to make the transition go smoothly?  I am not very proficient with all the product features so any info would be appreciated.

    Nothing to it really. Just Deactivate, Sign Out, on the Mac then install on the PC.
