Hello,

I need to transfer my perpetual license for Acrobat Pro 2020 from Windows to Mac. Is there any way to do this without transitioning to the subscription?

you probably purchased a win only license.  if you purchased both from adobe you would be able to download an exe for windows and a dmg for mac.  each would have a different license/serial number.

you must deactivate from your old computer (after updating your os and default browser).  make sure that browser is not opera.

then install and activate with your serial number on your new computer.

but don't start until you've secured the install file and serial number.

Will this still work if the license was purchased for Windows? When I log into my account and download the Mac file installer, I can only see the .exe file installer.

Acrobat 2020 perpetual was a single-platform software – it was for Windows or Mac, but not both.

Not sure if Adobe is still doing one-time platform swaps for that product, considering the age. You'd have to contact Adobe customer service to see if it's possible to change the platform from Windows to Mac. My guess is probably not, at this point.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Windows apps & licenses won't work on Macs and vice versa.

You need a modern version for your machine.
