Transfer Photoshop to New Computer

I have Photoshop CS5 on an older Mac that I bought in approximately 2011 (might have been 2010). I have my Adobe ID but in the home screen the Plans and Products tab is empty (though I'm almost positive I originally downloaded off this email address / account and I don't have any others). I just got a new Mac and am struggling to transfer the program.

I know you can Deactivate on the old computer and download on the new one but since the Plans and Products tab is empty I don't want to Deactivate because I'm not sure it's recognizing that I have the program and thus thinking it won't populate there to let me download on the new computer.

Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you very much.

If you only have the software installed on one machine then you have no need to deactivate.  Your license allows for having two activated installations.

You cannot transfer installations between machines - it won't work.  You need to download and install the software and then use your serial number to activate it.

You can also download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

Find your serial number - it is only valid for a Mac installation if you purchased it for a Mac originally

If you are unable to locate your serial number from whatever original source it was provided (like an email), you might be able to extract it from the existing installation...
