Last week my computer when into hard drive failure. Everything was recovered and able to be put on a new and larger hard drive, but now my PS CS2, Bridge and Illustrator can't be re-activated. I paid good money for it and it serves my use of working with personal photos to convert from RAW/NEF format to jpeg.  Can anything be done. I do not have the money to purchase new products or go on monthly plan. Thanks for any help or feedback as I'm feeling very annoyed right now. My son passed away and now I can't access my photos of him.

Tazzyd215,

You will not be able to re-install using the disks and serial number you initially used, but we do have a solution.

The activation server was shut down for the CS2 suite. Because of this, we have made a version of these software titles available that does not require activation. It is for users who have previously purchase the affected software.  For additional details and specific links to the software please see the following link:

Activation server shut down for Creative Suite 2, Acrobat 7, and Macromedia products

Instead of your old serial number, use the one listed next to the download link: Download Acrobat 7 and CS2 products

Since Adobe products can't be migrated or copied from one system or drive to another, they should always be installed from the disk or download files. I suggest you uninstall it and then reinstall from the link I gave above. Please see the link below for PC or Mac to manually uninstall your CS2 programs.

Manually remove Adobe Creative Suite 2.x | Windows

Manually remove CS2 | Mac OSX

One more question, if I may. Do I need to uninstall the old Photoshops products before I download and activate the new? Thanks..
