When I try to upload a profile photo to accompany my Adobe ID it says "There was an error updating your profile photo. Please try again." The photo I am trying to upload is 200 x 200 pixels, 16.5 KB, JPEG format. I have the full Creative Cloud suite.

are you seeing that after selecting the image from one on your computer?  after cropping?  some other time?

if after selecting, resave it as a png and retry.

Correct, it's after I select the image from my computer. I click "OK" and it thinks for a minute then gives that error message.

Profile images don't appear immediately.  They must be approved by an Adobe staff member.  But you should see it in the queue.

I am unable to upload the picture so I can't even get to that point where it can be reviewed for approval.  😞

i don't know why you're having trouble.  i tested yesterday and had no problem uploading large and small bitmaps.

is your network solid (wired)?

Yes, it's hard wire. How weird. Can an I.T. department make it so that you cannot upload a photo like that? I wonder if it's a network security thing that they do here...

kglad the answer marked above doesn't really change anything or make sense, literally. without mentioning i'm trying to do this on the same connection after making an account only a few hours ago.

Even if this is the case, then why do we get an error message saying "There was an error updating your profile photo. Please try again." I mean, the message does not describe the situation properly.

Same thing is happening to me, in both Chrome and Firefox with and without extensions installed.

I was able to add a profile photo and avatar just fine for the forums but on the Creative Cloud site (account.adobe.com) it keeps erroring no matter what. Same with trying to update my name or company.

I tried a 200 x 200 px image and got this. 500 x 500 px worked great.
