This is correct Ctussaud.  You will need to create a new Adobe ID if you now reside in a different country.  Please work directly with our support team if you need to transfer any products, subscriptions, or memberships to your new account.  You can contact our support team at http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6.

You may also want to review Transfer an Adobe product license - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/transfer-product-license.html.

I have never resided in the USA. That is why, when using a computer in the UK as a UK resident, I am considered to be a resident American.

Yours,

Curzon

Curzon it is not possible to change the country for an Adobe ID once it has been assigned.  Even if it was misassigned you will still need to create a new Adobe ID to change the country.

Thanks, Jeff; it is my belief that I am trying to create an Adobe ID. On filling in the info for My Profile I get down to the bottom of the page and find United States written there. Beside it is the word "change" (from memory I then get taken to a different page on the site). On clicking change I change to United Kingdom from a drop-down list. When I return to the form to complete it the domicile has reverted to United States. I need to know how to make the form hold that changed info so I can complete my application.

If I had already created an Adobe ID then why wasn't I allowed to "sign in"? I usually take the "sign in" route on sites in case I regisitered some time back.

Thanks,

Curzon

Curzon I believe there is a drop down during the creation process which allows you to choose your country.  If you would like direct assistance with creating your Adobe ID please contact our support team at http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6.

The selection at the bottom of the page controls the GEO and language of the Adobe.com you are viewing.  It should not affect the Adobe ID creation process although it may take the selection as the default setting.  You will still be given the opportunity to adjust the country drop down.

Finally you may also want to try a different web browser if you are facing unexpected behavior when filling out the Adobe ID creation form.  Perhaps an Add-on or the security settings could be affecting your experience.

Thanks, Jeff, for staying with me on this one! My recollection was that I had to go to a different page in order to change domicile, and that was fine. There wasn't, however, a Save button, and when I returned to the creation page my domicile had "reverted" to United States.

It occurs to me that I may have needed to create an Adobe ID ages ago (I have Photoshop Elements which I think is Adobe?) so maybe I have an historic ID in which I didn't spot that the domicile was set to United States at that time? The eye can read United and not bother to move on to the next word.

Although it is Sunday here, I am off shortly to rehearse and later perform in a concert so have no time today to explore these suggestions, but will probably do so tomorrow.

With my thanks,

Curzon

Sorry, in my reply to you just now, I omitted the words "puzzled to be"!

I already have Adobe Digital Editions downloaded. According to the eBooks Sainsbury's instructions, I should

Authorise your computer with Adobe Digital Editions

Open Adobe Digital Editions. Select ‘Library’ then ‘Authorise Computer’.

On the Library page there is no 'Authorise Computer' button anywhere .

Having the same problem here. I've lived in the UK for 20 years, so why I'm in the US as far as Adobe goes is a mystery? Will try  making a new ID...
