Trying to reinstall Adobe CS6 on my computer after using Creative Cloud

I am trying to reinstall my Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium (Specifically Photoshop and Illustrator) on my computer (Mac) after using Creative Cloud for free through school. I have just gotten the "Membership Expired" notice from Creative Cloud, so I tried putting my disc in to download what I had been previously using, but I still get the membership expired notice when I try to launch the program despite going through all the steps and successfully putting it back on my computer.  I'm not trying to continue using CC, only CS6.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Read Cloud takes over https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2089127 for some ideas (see reply #1)

-includes information on how to stop the update manager and/or Cloud from running at startup

-above is for Windows, but may help with ideas for Mac

Using the cleaner after uninstalling and before reinstalling is often needed

Hi Sidney,

Have you used the Cleaner tool to remove the Creative Cloud ? If no, then you may follow Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems and then try installing CS6, hope it works for you.

Rajashree thank you so much for helping!

I am following the steps to uninstall CC, but now it won't let me uninstall CC because it says I still have CC applications installed on my computer, but I can't find them. I have also tried restarting my computer but the message persists. How can I move forward and uninstall CC?
