Unable to validate the serial number Adobe Premiere Elements 13.

I have downloaded and bought Adobe Premier Elements 13 for my windows 10 machine ( it was a windows 7 machine last month but I upgraded it). I have installed it and ran through the trial period about 2-3 weeks ago and have been trying to validate my serial number ever since.

I would get the error message that it wouldn't connect online multiple times and it would bring me to a set of instructions online. I have tried locating and removing the hosts files with no avail. I am at a loss of what to do next.

      Yes, I deleted them and restarted the computer. That did not work. I will look at John's link to see if anything helps.

      I have tried the compatibility mode. It does not work as well.

      Make sure Hosts file is restored to default.
