Unwanted Creative Cloud

Creative Cloud has taken over my Adobe programmes, noticeably Photoshop.

When I try to open Photoshop, a window labelled Creative Cloud opens and tells me to wait for ever more.

Presumably this is because I have not paid anything.

I do not want Creative Cloud but want Photoshop back.

How do I do this?

Try this :

1 - Quits All Adobe background processes :

Adobe CEF Helper

Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe IPC Broker

Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Service

CCLibraries

CCXProcess

Creative Cloud

CoreSync

- For MAC :Run the Activity monitor to quit these processes .

Go to Application > Utilities > Activity monitor .

Select the process and force quit

- For Windows :Run the Task Manager to quit these processes .

Windows 7 : "Ctrl+Shift+Esc"

Windows 8 and 10 : "Windows+X" to Access the Power User Menu

2 - Rename The folders "SlStore" , "SlCache" and "OOBE" to "SlStore.old" , "SlCache.old" and "OOBE.old" in this location :

- For MAC :

MAC HD/Users/<user folder>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE

MAC HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SlStore

MAC HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SlCache

- For Windows :

C:\Users\<user folder>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ SlCache

3 - If you are on windows ,right clic on Photoshop and choose "run as admin "

Hi Arij

Thank you for the detailed instructions.

I did all you suggest but, at the end, clicking on the Photoshop icon resulted in the same outcome as before - a large clear box with Creative Cloud in the top LH corner and the message - Please wait for a moment....

I noticed that the Adobe applications Manager and License Utility both come on in the Task Manager Process window when I click on the PS icon. I am unable to switch these off.  Have I missed an instruction somewhere?

Any other suggestions?

Hello again everyone

Can anyone help me recover my CS3 Photoshop after Creative Cloud destroyed my access?

As can be seen from the previous Forum messages, I have followed several suggestions but none have been successful.

I have contacted Adobe but they do not seem to be interested.  They did not want to take responsibility for the loss and kept telling me that I did not have a paid subscription.  Unfortunately, I do not have the serial number but I did have the redemption code.  After much discussion, they appeared to agree that I had a legal copy of the software but still just told me to buy a new subscription.

It seems very unfair that a trial version of software can permanently take over other programmes.

I think we should all file a class action lawsuit against Adobe for taking our Photoshop we paid for (and I might add it is very expensive) hostage without any warning.

Hello Ned

I followed your advice and uninstalled Creative Cloud using the downloaded programme.

This worked.  However, I am still unable to open Photoshop.  The same Creative Cloud box opens and tells me to wait (after it has checked the license).  Nothing then happens.

Do you have any suggestions to solve this one?
