Update All seems to do nothing

With Creative Cloud Desktop (ver 5.00.354) on a MacBook Pro, I recieve notifications of updates for programs I have installed. However, when I click "Update All," the program seems to stall - nothing happens, no indicators of progress and the entire program interface is inaccessible (i.e., clicking does nothing). It's frustrating (and mysterious).

Only if I click the "Update" buttons individually do I see the expected progress bar, success message, etc. Is this the new normal for Adobe?
