So, I reinstalled windows. (Like hundreds of times before)

I fired up the Photoshop CC 2018 installer. (Like hundreds of times before)

Suddenly, I had to gasp. What were my eyes seeing? No, this must be a late aprils fool joke.

 

Update required

Your browser or operating system is no longer supported. You may need to install the latest updates to your operating system.

 

So, the same windows version and the same installer I used for (felt) 9.8 trillion times before, suddenly decides to nope out and don't want to install anymore.

 

The best part is "Your browser or operating system". The software itself doesn't even know what it just checked. It simply doesn't know and just refuses to work. I mean, it can't even tell you what's wrong, that's some next level Apple thing.

 

Does anyone have a fixed installer for 2019 CC? I don't want to upgrade as adobe did a lot of changes which made me gag. I rather have a functional outdated version as a non-functional mess. Which lags, misses features, has features altered to the worse and removed the 3D Feature, which I love.

I found a workaround.

 

Simply put the installer in Windows 8 compability mode and disable your internet. It installed flawlessly and after enabling the internet it kept working.

Thanks, I am using the 2018CC Version from them and as I said, I installed Photoshop a dozen times. The installer just stoppped working today.

 

Do you know of a FIXED installer, which has the version check disabled/removed? Photoshop will run perfectly fine anyway, it's just the dumb check which prevents me from installing. (I got 2018CC installed on Windows 11 on another machine. That's my 2 cents for "no longer supported")

This pain in the neck is an issue with using an old system with old TLS versions, which Adobe no longer support. Discussed here:  https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/eol-tls-support.html

 

The curious message  "Your browser or operating system" seems to be because your system isn't connecting using TLS 1.2, as Adobe's site requests. Adobe don't know why your system refuses to do this, so it makes a "best guess".

So my "old system" no longer supports an old version of Photoshop, because said old software is being told from the adobe servers to refuse to work on my computer, just because I haven't bought a chip to secure my computer.

 

Haven't heard credit card infos being grabbed by a .psd, but I guess I am the one just getting "old" here.

So how do I fix that issue?
