Updates always failing

the Adobe Application Manager pops up with updates available, but they all always fail to install.

    Ah so sorry, here at work we have Windows 7

    confused with my home setup

    and of course being at work I have no say on the platform, etc

    I have the three applications installed, and they work fine but this morning the "updates available" appeared and wont work


    Please try the suggestions in these threads:

    Hi Rajashree

    Thanks but I don't think these two links help me; I don't have Creative Cloud, I don't want Creative Cloud, I cant use Creative Cloud stuff as corporate policy here we cant use external servers.

    I have good old local install

    Which link do you think is the solution?
    Where on the linked-page should I be looking for the solution?

    Try by going to the CC desktop application (in the menu bar on a Mac, or task bar in Windows). Click the gear icon > Preferences > General > Sign Out. Then Sign In with your Adobe ID.
