Updating Apps - How to replace the old version with the new one?

This is the first time I have updated my apps, and the replacement is a new version. So now I have 2 versions of PS and BR on my computer. I tried to research how to replace the old version with the new, but didnt find many answers. I did find this on the adobe website:

Optionally, click Advanced Options.

  • Deselect Import previous settings and preferences. By default, settings and preferences from the previous version are migrated to the latest version. For more information, see Import settings and preferences.
  • Deselect Remove old versions to retain previously installed versions of software. By default, all previous versions of Creative Cloud apps are uninstalled when you update to the latest version. For more information, see Remove old versions

However, I cannot find where this ADVANCED OPTIONS is located at???? I would like to do the following:

- Import previous settings and preferences to the newest version installed

- Remove the old version

-Setup my options to automatically replace the old version with the new in the future.

Thanks!

by default older versions are replaced by newer ones.  you would use the advanced options (only available with major version updates, not minor) if you wanted to keep both the older and the newer.
