Updating images in Adobe Portfolio when edited in LR CC or PS

Once I have created Galleries in Adobe Portfolio by importing images from LR Collections if I edit the LR image in LR or in PS is the only way of updating that photo in Portfolio is to delete the image in Portfolio and reimport it?

Yes.   Portfolio site images have no direct connection with LR or PS software.  You must delete old images from the Portfolio server first.  Then you may insert a single image from your hard drive or re-import a LR Collection/Album.
