Updating "Creative Cloud" crashes macOS shortly after starting update process

I am on macOS 12.6.5. When I try to update the Creative Cloud application, it downloads "1%", then the internet connection of my Mac breaks down and the computer freezes. The only "solution" is to shut the computer down by using the on-off-button (nothing else works).

How can I solve this issue? All I want to do is my Lightroom installation.

Urmeli, please check the settings for your software firewall. From your post, it sounds like access is either being denied or the incoming traffic is being analyzed to the point that the computer is unusable.

If you continue encountering problems, see https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html for steps to reinstall the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Hi Jeff, thanks for your answer. I disabled LuLu by Objective-See (https://objective-see.org/tools.html), which solved my issue. Thank you again for your kind help.
