Updating to Latest CC2018 version?

Hi there,

I tried to update my CC2018 apps to the latest 2018 version via Creative Cloud, but it updated all my apps to CC2019 and deleted all my 2018 apps! Is there any way to just update the 2018 apps? I can't see anything in Creative Cloud that lets you choose the version to update. I currently can't open my Premiere files as they're made with 12.1.2.

Cheers

Tim

In this case you can see on CC desktop 2 tabs "All Apps" and "Installed Apps" ,if you go on Installed apps tab you see :

Premiere pro CC (13.0)     ----->    Update

Premiere pro CC (12.0)     ----->    Update

The first one will install CC 2019 and delete 2018 and the second will update to 12.1.2 .

Nope, isn't there in my CC. I've actually found a page on Adobe's site with manual updaters. I'll go with that I think:

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-apps-download.html

Thanks for your help anyway.

EDIT: Turns out those are only the base X.0.0 apps. The hunt to update CC2018 continues!

I think you have the automatic installation selected. If you deactivate this setting you can choose which app is updated.

Update apps to the latest release of Adobe Creative Cloud

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 5 - Topaz Photo

Thanks for the reply Axel,

None of those options are available unfortunately. I think it might have something to do with the fact it's a IT department install blocking those options maybe? Before 2019 came out though I was able to update my apps with any old Adobe ID as the company serial on my machine was still valid.

You need to verify of the 2019 upgrade deleted the old versions or not .To do that go to your program folder and check if you still have Premiere pro CC 2018 and if you can run it .

If not you can go back to CC 2018 by installing the version you want :

Click the arrow next to Install or Open. Then, click Manage.

Click Other Versions.

In the list that appears, find the version that you want to install, and then click Install.

On the CC desktop ,The 2018 and 2019 versions are called "CC" .If you wants to know which version is you need to put your mouse on it and you'll see the exact version .
