Upgrade from LR 5 to LR 6

New Here ,
Apr 28, 2015 Apr 28, 2015

Hi!

I own LR 5, now in the built 5.7.

Last week, I received one "upgrade available notification" and, since than, I'm trying to find the upgrade link and related conditions. However, I didn't managed to find it. The only options I saw so far are: Adobe CC or LR 6 stand-alone, but as a new user!

Is there any option for LR5 users REAL upgrade? Does anyone have a link for it?

Thank You!

Joao,

Go to this link to purchase software or upgrades.

https://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/software._sl_id-contentfilter_sl_catalog_sl_software_sl_mostpopular.html

For Lightroom, click on the "BUY" button by lightroom, then click on "I WANT TO BUY" and change the word full to upgrade.

I hope that helps.

I have been going through the same thing!  I keep getting e-mails from Adobe telling me LR6 is available.  I click on their download link, it syas it's downloading but nothing happens.  My Creative Cloud desktop apps are all up to date.  Adobe has been unavailable through any contact means.

Norman-

It sounds like you are trying to upgrade to Lightroom CC 2015 and having issues.

If you have a complete Creative Cloud membership or a Photography plan, you should be able to download and install Lightroom CC 2015 from the Creative Cloud site. Since Lightroom CC is a new product, it will not show as an update in the Adobe Application Manager. Instead, press the  install button next to Lightroom in the Application manager.

If you don't see "install" by Lightroom in the application manager, please first try signing out and back in:

sign in and sign out of the Creative Cloud desktop app

If you still have issues, see option 2 in this link:
Lightroom doesn't launch or quits automatically after splash screen

Regards,

Pattie
