Thank you all so much.  I uninstalled both apps then was able to successfully download the updates.  What a journey!

I'm having the same issue. Contacted Adobe twice tonight and nobody can help now... It seems to be the Camera Raw 9.0 update that has a bug... I am trying a manual update as suggested by Brucgovn. The other tricks didn't work... I already tried uninstalling Photoshop CC 2014 and reinstall it... it doesn't work either.

I spoke too soon.  After Effects upgraded with no problems and photoshop was upgrading when I wrote the last post.  However when it finished the error message said that the patch failed.  I have tried all the suggestions that have been given but no luck so far.  When I download photoshop without activating creative cloud I tried updating it from within photoshop.  No luck.  The error 'some components could not be updated successfully turns out to be the same ......204 error message that I mentioned above.  I will try to contact customer support in the morning.  Good nite:)

Success at last!

I tried updating photoshop again and it gave the 204 error.  Then I did the update again and low and behold it was successful.  Photoshop is now updated.  Thank you again for all your help.  Now I can rest..

LATEST

Had the same problem, very frustrated, tried for three days BUT...

The update for both Photoshop and Bridge CC is only latest Camera Raw 9 update.  So I went to this link

All Adobe CC 2014 Updates: The Direct Download Links for Mac OS | ProDesignTools

and downloaded the camera raw update.  Took about five minutes.  Ran the dmg installer and logged out and back in to CC, lo and behold all my CC apps are up to date!

Please note I had previously  tried the suggestion on changing the name of the 1.0 folder in /library/application support /adobe/ AAMUpdater to old_1.0 and also did the same in ~/library/application support /adobe/ AAMUpdater to no avail.  Not certain if it was the combination that helped but I would certainly try just downloading the update from the link above as that is the simplest thing to do.

Good luck
