Using a URL to populate a data element

New Here ,
Mar 26, 2019 Mar 26, 2019

Hi,

I am new to DTM and I was wondering if there was a way to set up a data element that uses the URL to create a dimension. For instance, if the URL contains "testerservices.co.uk" site section = Tester, if url contains "tester2.services.co.uk" site section = "tester2".

Or would this need to be done via a different type of rule?

I was also wondering if anyone could recommend useful websites that would help me to learn more about setting up data elements, page load rules and event rules?
