What app to use for creating videos?

Hello,

I have Creative Cloud but pretty much just use Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. My son is wanting to start making videos to put online. The kind that has a screen capture of what he is doing on screen and then also a picture in picture type of setup to show him in the corner of the screen. I started looking to see what kind of software could be used for that and then thought, "hey, I have CC. Surely Adobe has something that can do this...."

Can someone point me to the right app(s)? I can look for tutorials and see if it is something he can use.

Thanks!

Premiere Pro and After Effects will be the primary tools for creating video.

Video editing software, video editor for Mac & PC | Adobe

You may, however, also look into Spark: Make Graphics, Videos and Web Pages for Free in Minutes | Adobe Spark

Great, thank you. I'll take a look at Premier and Spark. Is there any advantage to one over the other?

Hi, rwigs,

For screen recording, you'll need to use something else. There are a variety of options out there... some free and some not so free. Also depends on what platform you're using If you're on a mac, you can use QuickTime for free. I use ScreenFlow on my mac, but this one costs!

Thanks for the tip.
