Hi....on purchasing, this allows download of a WinInstaller to setup the program. (PhotoshopElements_14_LS28_win64)
On running the Win Installer, it unzips some sort of package and creates a folder called Adobe Photoshop Elements 14.
That in turns contains (yet another) set up file from which I finally got to install the actual program.
Once having gotten to the Adobe Elements 14 folder, do I need to keep the PhotoshopElements_14_LS28_win64.* file for anything? They look like mostly the same files and they take roughly 3gb each.
Hi monsieurms,
it's really up to you, which one you delete
I personally would keep the "PhotoshopElements_14_LS28_win64" one and delete the extracted files.
Kind Regards,
Maurice

you might want to save the install files for a future installation. otherwise, they're not needed.
p.s. i rename files/folders with a $ prefix and thereafter leave the folder/file alone. i usually forget i've done that and when i encounter the folder/file some days/wks/mos later, i know i can safely delete.

Thanks for the response, but that doesn't really distinguish between the two install files I mentioned.
I definitely want to keep at least one install file for future reference.
The question is, given Adobe's rather cumbersome process, do I need BOTH, as listed above in my Post 1, to successfully complete a fresh install some day, or will one do it? And if just one, which one? Or doesn't it matter?

keep the one your downloaded, not the extract file.
