In Finder mode click SHIFT+COMMAND+G (Or Go to Go Menu > Go to Folder).

Type /private/tmp/ and click Go.

In one of the Alpha Numeric Hyphenated Folder you will have DMG file.

Note: Post installation this file is deleted, simply copy the DMG while it is installing the product. Copy it to Desktop/or any other folder.

I'm using the Adobe Creative Cloud dropdown menu found in the main OS X menu bar and the CC apps are downloading to my Applications folder next to my CS6 apps. I had to upgrade the Adobe CC app before I could see the new CC apps for download.

When you launch a new CC app, it MAY ask if you want to move over presets from the older CS6 version. I saw this dialog when I opened Photoshop, however I did not see it with After Effects. You may have to re-install or manually move third-party plug-ins.

for CC, it will download to %temp% in Windows or /tmp in Mac and it doesn't support for location changing.

The downloaded files are named using somekind of timecoding, hence you will need to grep it to see which file is belonging to the others.

found it :

Mac: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Installers/adobeTemp

in adobeTemp you will find the downloaded app - it is a hidden folder and will get deleted immediately after the app is installed
