Will I have to pay for the download for a MAC even if I have it for a PC?

I plan to get a new computer after I graduate with my BA in graphic design and my professors recommend that the best computer for a designer is a Mac. My personal computer that has Creative Cloud on it is a PC and I don't know it I can download the Mac version for Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign free. Would I have to pay extra to re-download software I already bought, but for another computer system?

IMPORTANT INFO: I bought the CS6 version on a student discount which is why I am concerned.

OK, so where your original post says Creative Cloud, I assume it should read CS6.

Adobe does (or at least did) offer a free platform swap service (Mac to Windows, Windows to Mac).

Read carefully and note the conditions which apply

Exchange a product for a different language or platform version

If you do manage to obtain a Mac serial number, download the software from

Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications

Install on your Mac then enter your Mac serial number.

Do you have a Cloud membership or CS6 (Student version) or both?

Your post mentions both. I'm not clear on which you've got and which you want to install on your Mac.

Sorry about the confusion.

Currently, I only have Adobe CS6 installed onto my PC and I want to know if that is transferable to a Mac without extra payment.

CS6 is platform specific, but there is a swap process (ONE only, not both)

-Exchange a product for a different language or platform version

Cloud is both

Cloud License allows 2 activations at a time http://www.adobe.com/legal/licenses-terms.html

-Install on a 2nd computer http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1452292?tstart=0

-Windows or Mac does not matter... 2 on the same operating system, or 1 on each

-Two activations on one account MAY NOT be in use at the same time (note in the above license link)
