Win7 install of PS Element and Premiere to Desktop not Program Files

Using the installer in Windows 7 worked, but only if I allowed the programs to be installed on my Desktop, rather than the usual C:\Program Files.  I really don't want programs sitting in my Desktop folder, but in the appropriate Adobe folder under Program Files.  Given some of the forum comments questions about uninstalling PS programs, I am leery of doing so here.  Advice please.

Can you send the exact message that you got restricting your install to the desktop?
