I would like to make ebook covers, like the ones attached, and get or make all the fancy 3D looking fonts. Which product should I get? Thanks
I've done a slew of book covers. Did them all in Photoshop. Before you start making them though, make sure if the book will only be an e-book, or if it will go to print as well at some point. And if they are ever needed in larger format for something, you would have them in a vector format.

When talking « Photoshop » without additional qualifications, we mean Photoshop CC, the program that is part of creative cloud.

Or $10.99 photographer plan. Bear in mind it is a one year contract.
Illustrator is an entirely separate app.
If you are an artist seeking to create painting-like work you might want either Illustrator or Photoshop. If you are more interested in adding fancy text effects on an existing photo or art work you have purchased, Photoshop should do. Bear in mind EVERYTHING is copyright and you will need permission to use ANYTHING: once it is on your ebook it is highly visible.
