Adobe photoshop CS6 on New I-Mac with 3TB fusion drive Mac OSX 10.8.3

Have been using CS6 since release. No issues. Replaced my IMac with spec as above and at first encountered errors with last updates (which I could not get to install). Followed advice and did fresh download and now am getting "installer failed to initialize" error message. Dowloaded adobe support adviser which is saying it could not identify any issues. So dead stop. Anyone any ideas on how to resolve.

    does it have an intel processor?

    ps cs6 tech spec:

    Mac OS X v10.6.8 or v10.7. Adobe Creative Suite 3, 4, 5, CS5.5, and CS6 applications support Mac OS X Mountain Lion (v10.8) when installed on Intel based systems.**

    Thanks for your response. Yes it does 3.4GHZ i7. Brand new machine.
