Help needed to get Photoshop CC 2015.0.0 to update to 2015.1.1. I purchased Adobe CC and installed it Feb. 19, 2016 on my Windows 7, 64 bit PC. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop CC and cannot get the update. I have checked app updates, refreshed CC and and signed out and signed back in. Creative Cloud still sees the 2015.0.0 as being the updated version. Please help! Thank you!

Please delete these two folders - C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\ AAM UPDATER  and OOBE both

In case if you have any kind of firewall blocking Adobe then it will not work, to check and confirm follow the Solution 3 in the following link : Adobe Creative Cloud apps revert to trial mode after CC 2015 update

Hi Penstermeister7,

Launch Photoshop CC 2015 go to Help and click Update if this doesn't help then please follow the below steps:

1- End Process/ Task from Task Manager in the same sequence as mentioned below from task manager. see, Open Task Manager

  • Creative Cloud
  • Core sync & Core sync Helper
  • CC library & CCX processes
  • Adobe Desktop Common
  • Adobe Update daemon
  • After this anything that says adobe on it do a force quit for it

2- C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\ AAM UPDATER  and OOBE both ( App data & Program Data is hidden folder please see, Show Hidden Files and Folders in Windows 7, 8.x, 10, or Vista  )

3- Turn OFF any security software installed along with system Firewall, also if your have any browser Add On installed for advertisement blocking turn that Off too.

****These changes are temporary you can revert these changes back to normal once your Creative Cloud app is up and running ****

4- Launch Creative Cloud app again and sign in

Let us know if this helps.

I tried going to Help update in Photoshop. It did not work. My PC is a workstation (at work) running Windows 7 Enterprise. I went to the Task Manager and did not see  Core sync Helper, CCX processes, Adobe Desktop Common, or Adobe Update daemon. I did end all processes that had Adobe it the name. In Step 2, I followed the path to the folders but not sure what I am suppose to do from there.  Step 3, I do not have access to the firewall tools or software security, because our IT department locks it down. Not sure what to do from here.
