I had bought this a long time ago but when i tried to install it the adobe installer did nothing...

i tried to run setup but windows gave me some error message... i tried changing the compatability setting but still nothing

I had hoped adobe might have some clever installers for this but I cannot talk to them without paying them money..

and im broke..

Do i have any options? ... is their a cheap upgrade option? or do i throw it away and write off the experience as a bad one...

any help/pointers would be appreciated

george

    Hi George,

Is it Adobe Premiere 6.0 (from 2001) that you're trying to install? Then it is sadly not supported anymore even if I saw on a Microsoft website (Windows 8.1 compatibility for Adobe Premiere version 6) that version 6.5 is reported as compatible. I read also that some people manage to install Adobe CS2 on Windows 8.1, it may give you some clues.

Sorry but I don't think so coming from a version which is that old and especially now that they are not selling anymore a boxed version of Premiere Pro: It is only available from Creative Cloud on a monthly subscription ($19.99/month).

I'm not sure what were the functionalities of Premiere 6 but if you want something not too advanced another option may be to buy Premiere Element 13 Video making software | Adobe Premiere Elements 13

    Best,
