I need to replace my replace motherboard & have Creative Suite CS6

I am running Creative Suite CS6 and my PC has developed a fault meaning I am going to have to replace my motherboard (and probably the RAM). The case, CPU, graphics card and all the hard drives will remain the same.

Will Creative Suite simply run on the new set up or will I have to deauthorise it on the old computer before I replace the motherbaord then reauthorise it when the repair is finished?

Thanks for your help.

Just to be safe I would deactivate it before in the event it does not register when the machine is re-assembled.  If it remains useable then you just need to reactivate it.  If it fails to reactivate and work properly then you can uninstall, use the CS Cleaner Tool, and reinstall and not have to deal with Customer Support to recover an otherwise lost activation.

If you use the same brand and model motherboard, I personally don't see a problem

If you use a DIFFERENT brand or model motherboard, you MAY have to RE-authorize Windows itself

As long as your boot drive is the same, so the hidden registration file(s) are in the same place, I personally don't see a problem

HOWEVER... I don't work for Adobe, and Adobe no longer supports CS6, so I really can't give an answer with 100% assurance of no problems

Thanks - I am having to use a different brand of motherboard and memory as mine is no longer made so I am anticipating having to reauthorise Windows. I just wasn't sure about Creative Suite.
