Could you please supply more details so that we can try to replicate the problem.

    Important information should include

    • Dreamweaver version
    • Operating system
    • Actions leading up to the problem
Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!

I am having this problem now also.

My local site is defined in a network share using a UNC path. Due to network policies I am not permitted to define a mapped drive.

I am using two versions of Dreamweaver CC.  2015.3 and 2017.  I have not learned to love 2017 so I still use 2015.3 for familiar tasks.

Both versions were running OK.  But I just ran into the error with permission of dwsync.xml.

I am the only user and I use templates and sync extensively to publish changes to the production server via FTP.

I'm guessing someone will tell me to erase my DW cache and try again.  So I'm about to do that.

please let me know what other diagnostic information may help resolve this issue.

When DW starts acting weird, the first thing to try is Deleting Corrupted Cache in DW

If that doesn't help, try Restore Preferences

If all else fails, use the CC Cleaner Tools below followed by a software re-install.
