Fancybox without thumbnails

I am using fancybox 3. Everything is ok, but I have one problem. Im looking for a way to see the fancybox without getting a page with only the thumbnails. What I want: my homepage where you can see a button which links directly to the fancybox. In the actual situation brings clicking on the button the viewer to a page with only thumbnails and clicking on one of the thumbnails brings you finally to the fancybox. What am I doing wrong?

I have made a separate page for the fancybox  or is it better to write the code in the index-page?

    #1,Create a page of thumbnails -- gallery.html.

#2 On your index.html, add a direct link to your

    gallery.html

#3  On the gallery.html, set-up Fancybox to invoke when the thumbnail images are clicked.

If you use Bootstrap for layouts, you could do something similar with just Bootstrap.
