'People'? probably quite apt - the postman, the tinkerman, the farmer and the local shop keeper, to name but a few.
Its difficult to place what kind of people/developer use DW as their choice of tool for producing websites.
If my observations are anything to go by no-one that considers themselves to be a serious developer does. Ok maybe 1 or 2 but in most of the videos I watch, created by those who I believe are skilled coders, DW is nowhere to be seen. I've viewed dozens over the years and I can only think of one very skilled developer whose videos still use DW, others who may have used it years ago have since moved on to something else.
That's not a great advert for DW is it.

If you're in THIS forum, it's fair to say that you're not a milkman -- not that there's anything wrong with that mind you.
I posted my poll in Coding Corner which attracts coding question from people in a variety of disciplines; not just web site developers.

The interesting result, would be if the total number of voters was greater than just from those in this forum.

Some people have a total aversion to polls and surveys. So there's that to consider.
I spread it around to all of the forums I thought might have some crossover interest like Muse, BC developers, Animate and a few others. We'll see...

I'm not complaining or criticising, and I cannot think of any other way to ask such a question.

I don't know how accurate this sites statistics are -
https://trends.builtwith.com/framework/Adobe-Dreamweaver
personally i would treat the 0.6% of sites created with Dw as questionable, as they are also listing fireworks amongst what they are looking for.

I really like how they measure it.
"Based on the use of certain javascript functions, this page contains code generated, at least initially, by Dreamweaver."
In other words, they search for MM rollover behaviors . Ewe, yuck.

back on monday I read the pie...
before the week end the percent of users that don't use DW was more or less 40 %.... middle 30%
after the week end, the ones that always use DW is up to 40%... middle still 30%
if we watch the activity of the forum... it is amazing how many people was posting there during the week end...
so beside the pie, we can say that the DW users works on week end... arf arf....

I don't think too much can be read into those who use Dw all the time, or who never use Dw. It is the 'sometimes' user count that is the important one for me.
A couple of those that voted in that catagory only used Dw once or twice per year. Those are the ones that Dw should find out more about.
