how to find nested editable regions

When I attempt to apply a newly edited template to File.html, I'm getting an error that says

There is an error at line 241, column 30 (absolute position 6751) of File.html. Nested editable regions. I don't whether that means there is an error in the template or the File.html, but in either case, how can I find the nested editable region to fix it? I've looked at line 241 of both the template and the file with no clue. I do notice that there are many lines of code in File.html which are a part of template and should be gray, but they're not. That makes me think that the error is in the file, but how do I find it?

I see that File.html is not attached to any Template. It has been a long time since I used Templates in Dreamweaver so that I cannot help any further. I'll call out to @Nancy OShea to help you out.

In the absence of a URL, I'm guessing that you're working with more than one Template which makes things unnecessarily complicated. Don't nest Templates inside other Templates.

You'll need to open all related Templates (.dwt files), primary as well as ancillary to find all the coding errors.

Run Validation on all related files and fix reported errors. Window > Results > Validation....

I can't be more specific without seeing the code. Sorry.

I am sorry, but I do not see what you are seeing. Hence your story makes no sense to me.

Do you have a URL to an online site that we can see? Alternatively, please paste the code of the document here. That way we are on level playing fields and will be able to help you.

Having said that, the templates that you are using is a Dreamweaver proprietory software and can only be used in Dreamweaver. When Dreamweaver is finally put to rest (which should be sooner than later), your website will become useless to anyone wanting to maintain it using another program.

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!

Could you please be more specific? I can't upload .dwt or .html files to the forum. I can copy and paste them into pdf files and upload those, if that's what will help you. Here's the HTML page and template that I'm having trouble with.
