Normally we would make a flipping book in Dreamweaver, but it looks like it isn’t possible anymore in Dreamweaver CC. Does anybody know how to make a flipping book with an Adobe program? We already tried making it with Indesign, but the SWF document is very large (43 MB)...

There's nothing built into DW that can do this as far as I've ever seen.

Personally, if I was ever forced to use a page turn effect by a client, I'd probably just use a third party script like this one: Turn.js: The page flip effect in HTML5

If you must use an Adobe program and output isn't for the web, you can use InDesign to Export to a flip book Flash file.

From InDesign...

1. Choose File > Export (Ctrl + E)

2. Choose Flash Player (SWF) (*swf)
3. Click Save
4. in the dialogue window, make sure "Incl

I dont know any Adobe product that can create an html 5 flipbook which works across a variety of devices.

I would seriously consider an online paid for service to convert your pdf into a flipbook. Most these days seem to want to charge a fee per month which is quite ridiculous if you just want a one off flipbook.

It's not cheap but the site below allows you to create a flipbook for a one-off payment.

PDF to Flipbook - FREE 7 Day Trial - Instant Flipbook

Jon has posted an alternative, which I have used,  but its one you have to build yourself, so it may not be for you.

If you do go down the online route make sure you find one that IS html5 compatible. There are still some out there like 'flipsnack' who are still only providing Flash based self-hosted flipbooks which wont work on Apple devices but they do offer a hosted service which will work on Apple devices via an iframe.

1) Indesign's standard tools for page transition, animation and interactive PDF export should be able to do that, but that's not comfortable and probably not what you need.

2) Create your Indesign document, export it to PDF and use a flipbook template (SWF, HTML), which can load PDFs. And there are also lot of online PDF to Flipbook conversion services available, you can use them almost for FREE! One example: PDF To Flipbook Conversion
