Image Mapping - Creating a HotSpot from a PSD file

So I'm very new to Dreamweaver, and I'm trying to create a HotSpot within a PSD File on Dreamweaver, and I'm running into some trouble. After I upload the PSD file to my email service provider it just puts the link for the whole picture and not just the spot on the picture I need. Does anyone know I how to make sure that I specifically link it to that one place on my picture?

Email clients do not conform to HTML rules, they have a set of rules of their own. Some clients do not recognise hotspots.
