With the integration of DW 2017.5 with GIT, it would be great if while installing DW, it detects if GIT is installed, and if not, it installs GIT.

I'm not in favor of installing any package beside DW... DW already install node somewhere... and ruby... Personnaly I think that all this peripherical tools should be handle externally, and that foir different purpose...

  • maintaining and updating when ever we need and not being dependant of DW build update
  • choicing our own set of tools, and not being imposed by any IDE used
  • being able to uninstall anything independently
  • what will happen when unisntalling DW... does GIT will also uninstall with it ?

I agree. If something uses Git or Grunt or some other mysterious stuff then an all in one install package would be considered an advantage by me and would likely sway me to what bit of software I am likely to give a second thought to using.

I really am not that keen on using command lines and stuff to install anything.
