DW3? That's an ancient version of Dreamweaver (released in

Nothing in any of my books will cause Dreamweaver to crash in
normal
circumstances. If Dreamweaver is crashing, the most likely
cause is a
corrupted file cache.

You don't say which of my books you're using, but if it's the
DW CS3
book, another possible cause is explained on page 220.
Dreamweaver CS3
is affected by a rare bug that causes the program to crash if
you have a
file that is exactly 8,192 bytes or a multiple thereof in the
current
site. Add some extra text in a text editor, such as Notepad,
to change
the size of the file.
