Removing folder

I have a folder (and it's files) in the list of Local Files view which needs to be removed, with all it's files.

On the highlighted folder name, the right hand click menu shows a Delete option, which then asks 'Do I wish to delete the File(s)' (and presumably any links as well.) What it doesn't say is if it refers to the highlighted folder (and it's files), or folders and files in list below as well.

Over the years I've made a habit of losing things in Dreamweaver, and don't want a repeat.

If you want to play it safe, use Dropbox or similar cloud storage to make a backup of your local site folder.  Worst case scenario, you have a complete backup to revert to.

It will only delete the folder(s) and file(s) you have highlighted.

When you right click a folder in DW's Files window and choose Edit > Delete, it will toss all of the selected files into your system's trash/recycling bin. So, even if DW were to behave unexpectedly, and delete more than what you have selected, the files can be easily restored from the trash/recycling bin.

Thanks for reply. The delete option kills everything in the list below.

Retrieving so many folders and files may take days.
