safari browser struggles with custom cursor

Hi together,

I created a Page with several hotspots on an image- if you hover over the hotspots the images are swapping. Now I decided to have a custom cursor (css), which works absolutely fine in Firefox, but doesn't really work in Safari.

The cursor needs to stay the same, in safari it changes when you hover over hotspots, into a pointer.

Any solutions for this?

Thanks!

In general, it's best not to tamper with how browsers normally behave.  Changing the default cursor doesn't make your site better.  In fact, it could confuse people if your links don't behave like links in all browsers -- Chrome, FF, MS Edge,, IE, Opera, Mac Safari, Safari iOS, Android, etc...
