Acrobat Offline Activation

We currently have a number of machines that cannot touch the network (must be offline standalone at all times). We need Acrobat Pro on them to permit users to edit PDFs on those machines. We have tried Pro 2020 twice and Pro 2017 once. 2017 was the only one that allowed us to go through the steps to perform the "request code" steps. We generated a response code from an online machine and input it into the activation on the offline machine. This worked temporarily.

However, when we put the drive back into the same machine it brought up the activation window once again. We could really use a solution to be able to install and activate Acrobat Pro on a machine that cannot go online. We have machines that can go online for something like the request/response code steps if it would actually work. I know there are agencies out there that have machines that can never touch the network that utilize PDF editing software like Acrobat and would love to know how they're doing it. Thanks for any assitance!

Hi there,

There are secure licensing methods available for users who require access to desktop apps but are unable to use other Licensing methods due to security restrictions.

You will need to talk to someone and explain your use case, so that they can suggest a solution, you may contact your Adobe account manager for help or click here to request a consultation with the sales team.

Hi

You need to buy an Enterprise license. I think the first link is correct for buying the license. The second is for installation after you have the license. We can move this to the Enterprise forum if you want us to.

Would the enterprise license allow us to install on a device that cannot go online? My team has gotten mixed messages from support as to what software does or does not have the ability to be installed offline. I know many of my fellow asset management specialists are hitting similar issues with needing the ability to PDF edit on an offline machine. We don't need a high number of licenses either. This software is only necessary on 1 or 2 devices. We have purchased so many different versions of Adobe that no one here wants to purchase another software item without knowing 100% it'll work offline and not cost an arm and a leg. Please let me know if this is the only offline option for a standalone machine available from Adobe. Thanks!

Hi

I am a volunteer and do not work for Adobe. Your question should be asked to the Enterprise team. As a consultant, I work with a lot of folks in highly secure environments who have closed systems.

Can we move your post?
