Acrobat Pro, No Subscription Please?

I have been using Acrobat Pro for the last 10 years, issued through the university where I work. Unfortnatlye, when I bought my new MacBook, Acrobat Pro would not run on it. I was forced to use the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription service.

I am constantly asked to login simply to open and view a PDF now. Of course I could use my browser for that but it has become annoying to the point of nuisance as this happens all the time, and often in the middle of class.

Is there a way to get Adobe Acrobat Pro for Catalina so I don't have to bother with this needless, nuisance login prompt? Also, what happens when I am off the grid and have no internet connection?

The Acrobat Pro subscription behaves exactly the same as Acrobat Pro in the Creative Cloud subscription, it is just the same app with the same sign in needs.
