Acrobat Standard X & Topaz SigPlus & GemSign Plus Plugins

I'm stuck in a crappy situation and am hoping someone has a good way out in mind...

We have to deploy Acrobat Standard X 10.1.6, Topaz SigPlus and Topaz GemSign plugin for Acrobat to a LOT of machines via GPO.  I've already built a package for Acrobat using the customization wizard and it works fine.  I've also written a batch script to install SigPlus based on the documentation from Topaz which also works.  Where I'm stuck is trying to find a solution for installing the GemSign plugin.  The installer from Topaz is a GUI based exe installer and Topaz support has so far refused to help.  They won't provide an installer that supports silent / unattended installation and I can't find any documentation on how to write a script to install it like I did for SigPlus.

My question(s) are:

  1. Is it possible to bundle the plugin into the custom Acrobat install package using the Customization Wizard?  If so, any documentation available or any steps anyone can share?
  2. Has anyone deployed the GemSign plugin package as a silent install?  If so, can you tell me how you did it?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

If you are lucky, a plug-in install just copies a file to the plug_ins folder. But if it just did that, they would probably have said so. Still, you could try.

More often there could be registry updates, licensing, downloading and/or activation, or whatever. Often these processes are secret, and you can't expect a company to share them with you.

GemSign might install a device driver that interacts with the signature tablet.  If it doesn't then you can use the files and folders panel in the Adobe Customization Wizard to place the plugin without even writing a script however check with the manufacturer to double check about the driver.  You could always test it too.  Just install the plug-in and then use the Customization Wizard to place it after installing both Acrobat and the SigPlus software on a test machine to see if it works.  A lot of work but it may answer your question if you are getting no help from the plug-in vendor.
