We’re extremely happy to announce the release of Google OU Sync for all customers. Customers can now sync Organizational Units (OUs) from their Google Workspace to the Adobe Admin Console.
Benefits
The Google Sync connector lacked user group sync due to a SCIM protocol limitation by Google. However, the introduction of Google OU sync enables easier license deployment at scale. Since Adobe Express is free and unlimited in K-12, all districts with Google Sync can now assign the Express product to the “root” OU, and all synced users will automatically receive a license.
Admins can use the Google OU sync to assign any free or paid product (e.g., Creative Cloud All Apps) to any synced OU at any level of the OU hierarchy. Learn more on HelpX.
ADMIN EXPERIENCE
You can configure OU Sync just by mapping an additional attribute on the Google Admin Console. Then, a sync job is automatically started. This applies to both net-new setups and to pre-existing setups with users already synchronized.
