Adobe Acrobat DC prompts 7 day trial and user cannot sign out

Hello, 

We recently issued an Acrobat Pro license to one of our users and when they tried to sign in with their account, they are shown the "Start your 7 day free trial of Acrobat DC" screen. When they try to sign out of their account, they are shown an error stating that registration is in progress, try again later. However, this message does not go away and the user is not able to sign out. Can you provide the steps to force Adobe Acrobat to sign out of the account so the user can try again?

So far, the only work around seems to be clicking Start free trial --> sign out of the account --> close Adobe Acrobat and sign back in so the license syncs.
