Bridge 2025 Error

Good morning everyone,

I recently purchased a new 24" iMac with a Silicon processor. I migrated my data, and so far, everything has gone smoothly.

I downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud and installed Photoshop 2025 and Bridge 2025. However, I'm encountering the issue shown in the attached image.

Every time I open Bridge, I get this error. When I click "OK," the program immediately closes.

I’ve tried everything:

I deleted and re-downloaded the application — same error.

I deleted the preference files for Bridge — still the same error.

I wasn’t even able to log out of Creative Cloud to uninstall it completely. After resolving that issue, I reinstalled everything.

I even created a new administrator user and successfully downloaded Creative Cloud, Photoshop, and Bridge without any issues — but when I opened Bridge, I still got the same error.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or knows how to fix it?

Thank you very much!

Hi @dr_disegni_5437,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing the screenshot. Based on your query, it looks like you are receiving the error shown when trying to open the Bridge app. Could you please confirm if this is the issue you need assistance with?

In the meantime, please try the following steps:

Reset Bridge on launch

Hold Command + Option + Shift while starting Bridge.

Select the option to reset preferences and purge the cache.

This helps clear corrupt startup items that may cause Bridge to crash.

Detailed instructions are available here: https://adobe.ly/45R6zNF

Grant Full Disk Access

Open System Settings > Privacy & Security.

Add Adobe Bridge under Full Disk Access and Files & Folders permissions.

Relaunch Bridge. This can resolve issues with file access or deletion introduced by macOS security settings.

Remove the Keywords file

Quit Bridge.

Navigate to:

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge 2025/

Move the file Adobe Bridge Keywords.xml to your Desktop.

Restart Bridge — it will generate a new keywords file automatically.

Check folder permissions

In Finder, right-click the Bridge 2025 folder.

Select Get Info → Sharing & Permissions.

Ensure your user account has Read & Write access.

If not, unlock with the padlock icon and adjust permissions.

Reopen Bridge.

Please go through these steps and let us know if you continue to experience issues.

Regards,
^AN
