Hi, I have installed creative cloud on my desktop and laptop.
For reasons unknown, the creative cloud apps on my desktop disappeared.
So I used the creative cloud packager to reinstall them.
It downloads everything, gets to 'building ...' and then at 99%, it fails and says Build Fail - Your build encountered unrecoverable errors.
Tried it several times, same thing.
Any thoughts on why it's not installing (or why it went away in the first place - I only installed it on those two computers and it's still on the laptop)?
Thanks,
Paul

OS 10.9
outdated Creative Cloud Packager
- deleted ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CCP to resolve errors getting updated CCP version to launch
Then same log results as NASADeploymentsETLA for my first two packaging trials (language: English - North American)
- deleted ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater
- cleared disk space (had about 65GB free) 235GB free before packaging
No problems on the third trial - worked like a charm.

Did you run the cleaner to remove all traces before installing again?
-http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html (and uninstall)
-using the cleaner after uninstalling and before reinstalling will usually help

What does installing the software have to do with building a package?

I get a similar error:
2/11/2015 14:03:39[INFO] AdobePackageBuilder - Build Version - 1.8.0.22
2/11/2015 14:03:39[INFO] AdobePackageBuilder - Logging Level verbosity Set to 4

2/11/2015 14:03:54 [FATAL] AdobePackageBuilder - Error initilizing packageBuilder. Exiting...
I am BUILDING the installer, not running a built installer. Plus, I am building this on a PC that does not have a previous version of anything Adobe.
What could be causing the error?

I am also getting the same error. I just made one package successfully and now am getting the same error. Any chance a Adobe employee can provide some help?

I think this is all about something that is not a regular Cloud install, so read below

Make sure you have sufficient disk space in creative cloud packager cache preferences location. Moreover, delete the AAMUpdater folder and give a try.
WIN: C:\Users\user name\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater
MAC: user library>application support>adobe>AAPUpdater
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Ashish

Ashish, can you please specify exactly what means "sufficient disk space". Please give us some typical numbers or examples.

Thomas,
When you have to install application you should have enough spaces.
By enough space it is referred to space required by installer to copy installer first & then to install also.
You can refer to a slightly old document as below:
Installer file size | CC and CS6 apps

Ashish,
I have the same problem - this is the related Build Log file entry:
Fri Sep 11 14:04:16 2015 | [INFO] AdobePackageBuilder - Build Version - 1.9.1.6 |
Fri Sep 11 14:04:16 2015 | [INFO] AdobePackageBuilder - Logging Level verbosity Set to 4 |
Fri Sep 11 14:04:33 2015 | [FATAL] AdobePackageBuilder - Error initializing Communication Channel. Error : 4... |
Fri Sep 11 14:04:33 2015 | [FATAL] AdobePackageBuilder - Error initilizing packageBuilder. Exiting... |
I had just built a successful package minutes prior to this, and was attempting to make a second package with only specific apps when the app failed. It fails every time now. I have 200+GB free space on the cache drive, and I have cleared the Creative Cloud Packager cache.
Thanks for any help,
-Isaac

I tried all of the mentioned ways to fix: Purge the Cache, tried to use the startup volume (70 GB free) for cache and installation folder, changed the cache folder to a volume with 2 TB free, reinstalled the whole machine with a clear new system ...
What else can I do? I have to create an install package for an agency with about 70 Creative Cloud Users.
Creation of a german installation package worked fine on the same hardware. Creation of the international english version always fails.
