Can't update Adobe CC from our AUSST 4.x

Hi all,

We have setup an new (for us) AUSST serve on an VM with Windows 2012 server.

Then, we try to update Adobe CC from an MAC workstation with Sierra 10.12.4. For that, we put the configuration file in `/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0/AdobeUpdater.Overrides`, i.e. on my MAC it is `/Users/christianrenaudineau/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0.

Then, with Adobe Creative Cloud manager, we run update for Adobe Illustrator. And, we have an error like "update abort" (because original message is in french). Log is :

Exit Code: 119

-------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------

- 0 fatal error(s), 4 error(s), 0 warnings(s)

ERROR: Retryable error '119' occurred while download

ERROR: Retryable error '119' occurred while download

ERROR: Retryable error '119' occurred while download

ERROR: Retryable error '119' occurred while download

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It seems our MAC try to reach Internet Adobe server instead of our internal AUSST server.

Our AdobeUpdater.Overrides is

How can I check what is wrong? How can I check if update reaches from our AUSST server instead of Adobe Internet servers?

Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Regards,

Christian.

Hi all,

Some news from here. Adobe support contact us by phone again (in english, not my native language), et we made many new check. After 1:15 hour on phone, for them, our internal AUSST is ok and work fine.

But... It run for the *first* adobe softaware installed, and after broken for all another install. And, we always have ask for needed 'elevated privileges', then we check correct check box option in adobe creative cloud packager.

For example :

New fresh computer :

I install InDesign, update it, ok with internal AUSST. Then, I install Photoshop, update it, ko, no update from AUSST

Then again new fresh computer:

I install Photoshop, update it, ok with interal AUSST. Then, I install InDesign, update it, ko, no update from AUSST.

We prepare now check, with real fresh new Windows computer, without any of our internal system software.

And now, we have made new sync on our AUSST internal server to update for Adobe CC 2018. Good result, but now we always have 404 error. I'll prepare new specific post for this particular issue.

All of that is amazing! It doesn't sound good for us and our 50+ users.

I'm looking for french people who use this AUSST tool. If you, please contact us, thanks.

Hi all,

For your information, this following post solved our 404 error problem after sync CC 2018 updates:

Adobe Server Setup Tool --incemental issue with IIS (resolved)

Thanks to mathiasb40321913 for that!

We continue to investigate our other issues about automatic updating with AUSST.

Hi all,

Strange to close this issue without me.

We've made new tests with newly installed IIS server, and... it is always KO.

We have an "404 error" from Adobe Creative Cloud 4.11.202

We make new investigations to try to understand what's wrong.

Re,

With "Download error in Apps tab of Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application", I delete (from an PC Windows 7 64bits) :

C:\Users\<me>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

C:\Users\<me>\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater

Then, restart Adobe Creative Cloud with same error `Download error 404`. It is Adobe Creative Cloud Version 4.0.1.188.

But, when I delete my

C:\ProgramData\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\AdobeUpdater.Overrides

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\UpdaterResources\AdobeUpdater.Overrides

I didn't have this 404 error. Then, Adobe Creative Cloud offer me to update my Adobe software.

So, I think my AdobeUpdater.Overrides file is wrong, no?

Hi all,

hi rpandita,

With one of my colleague, we have looking with attention our AdopeUdpater.Overrides file. And yes, it is wrong, because most of path with incorrect double /ACC/ACC/ syntax:

/updates/adobe/ACC/ACC/services/ffc/products/ffc.xml

(instead of correct path /updates/adobe/ACC/services/ffc/products/ffc.xml)

We have manually(!) change our AdobeUpdater.Overrides and make new test, and... that's ok, our Adobe CC products update from our internal AUSST server

For your information, our new AdobeUpdater.Overrides file:

<Overrides>

    <Application appID="webfeed"><Domain>http://winausstprod1</Domain><URL>/updates/adobe/webfeed/oobe/aam10/win/</URL></Application><Application

Only one thing: when I try do update from update menu of Photoshop CC, we have an appcrash of Adobe Creative Cloud software. If I made update directly from Adobe Creative Cloud, it is ok. My appcrash is:

Any help would be appreciated.

French phone technical support can't assist us on AUSTT software. They drive me to english online chat, where they say me an AUSST expert call me back to help. To be continued.

Hi Christian,

Pls deploy AdobeOverride to below two locations:

\ProgramData\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\

\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\UpdaterResources\

after that, you would either need to restart two Adobe processes from the machine - Creativecloud.exe and AdobeDesktopService.exe

You can edit a bat file to finish above operation:

taskkill /F /IM "Creative Cloud.exe" /T

taskkill /F /IM "Adobe Desktop Service.exe" /T

COPY /Y AdobeUpdater.Overrides C:\ProgramData\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\

XCOPY /Y AdobeUpdater.Overrides "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\UpdaterResources\"

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe"

exit
