CC pro accounts cannot download free assets from Substance.

A team member tried downloading a free asset from substance. It immediately says "Access denied! You don't have permission for this action! Please contact your account administrator". There are no settings in the admin console to enable users to download free assets from substance. However, you can create a new free account and download the free assets without problem.

 

Why is this an issue? And why does Adobe go out of its way to make life as difficult as humanly possible for its paid users?

Hi @imtherealmike Substance 3D assets are not included with CCE Pro and must be
purchased separately under Substance.

    It's the free assets we wanted to download not paid assets, or are you saying they are free if you don't pay for CC but unavailable if you do?

    i have an individual cc all apps subscription and the free assets are available to me.

     

    apparently you have a cce pro subscription which is different.

    Did you entitle the users to have access to the Substance 3D assets?

    This is for when you subscribe to Substance which we do not. We have creative Cloud Pro — All App (which isnt all apps) but wnat to download the Free Substance Textures.

    what free textures?


    There is a whole section of free textures and models very useful. Go to Assets - Collections - Free Assets.

    A team member tried to download a free substance texture to use in an illustrator project. They kept getting a warning saying access denied - speak to Admin. There is no setting anywhere within the admin console to enable free content from substance. However, if you create a new free account with Adobe and pay them nothing, you can download the free assets without problem.

     

    What on earth is going on? This is typical of Adobe going out of its way to make life as difficult as humanly possible for they're paying customers.
